Summary: An excellent hotel to explore and hike in the Black mountains. Really friendly staff, Adrian the manager was extremely charming and helpful especially with sourcing great wine for us! The rooms are beautiful and very spacious. The grounds are stunning with lovely river walks directly from the hotel. Dogs are very welcome which was great especially as we have an extra large one! We will be coming back

Summary: A beautiful stay, friendly service, and convenient parking. Room was clean and spacious. Minor complaint was that the bathroom mirror was too high for my 5' tall wife. Would definitely stay here again.

Summary: Staff could do with a little more training! History of the house could be better documented? Garden care could be better, just a little bit fluffy round the edges! Overall a wonderful house just needs a little bit more tlc.
